Host an Adult or Junior Calligraphy Party - Ribble Valley Area
Host a calligraphy get together in your own home. Up to ten people including the host can attend, all they need is access to a table to rest on. Everyone will thoroughly enjoy two solid hours of calligraphy fun. Each party can be tailored to specific requirements or we can also go through progressive fun steps to hand lettering. We can look at current hand writing styles, improving style and also how to adapt basic print handwriting in to beautiful modern calligraphy. If you have a special event on the horizon this is also a great way to see who in the group has the style that you want to see on the invitations / gift tags / letters / save the dates!
Everyone receives a pen and booklet so they can continue to practice after the event.
The host provides the venue and any refreshments required.
Calligraphy and Handlettering Workshops
Introductory workshops will teach you the basics of calligraphy, whether you choose to learn with a brush pen, using watercolour or with a dip pen and ink. During each session Deb takes you through the basics with hands on demonstrations, as the group work their way through several exercises with guidanc e along the way. You will learn about basic strokes, connecting letters and layouts. The workshop takes you through key materials, building your skills and how to letter basic strokes, letters and words. We also cover next steps and discuss individual objectives for moving forward.
Intermediate workshops go beyond the basics of calligraphy, as you start to learn more about different styles. During each session Deb takes you through exercises with hands on demonstrations. You will learn more about layouts, calligraphy styles and your personal techniques. The workshops takes you through key materials, building your skills and how to letter using uppercase and lowercase words and sentences. We also cover next steps and discuss how you would like to develop your calligraphy moving forward.
Watercolour Workshops
Introductory workshops will cover the basics of loose watercolour painting. During each session Deb takes you through the basics learning the all important starter brush strokes, understanding techniques and managing water to pigment ratios. The workshop takes you through key materials, building your skills and key strategies for improvement. We also cover next steps and discuss individual objectives for moving forward.
Intermediate workshops go beyond the basics of watercolour as each individual starts to develop their own style and watercolour personality.
Bespoke Workshops
These workshops are available covering a range of creative area’s. Including but not limited to, hand writing, modern calligraphy with a brush pen, watercolour paint brush and dip pen with ink. Tailored workshops are also available for watercolour painting and can be tailored to suit the group or individual’s requirements. Maybe you would like to fast track your hand lettering skills, or there is a wedding on the horizon and you'd love to see which of your friends could help with your wedding stationery! Bespoke workshops are available for small groups of people who need more than what's already offered. Specific requirements can be discussed further, please just contact me and we can chat.
